Rapper Kid Cudi, known offstage as Scott Mescudi, took the stand in Sean “Diddy” Combs’ ongoing trial and made serious allegations against the rap mogul. Cudi claimed that Combs threatened him and orchestrated a Molotov cocktail attack on his Porsche.
During his two-hour testimony, Cudi discussed his past relationship with Combs’ ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura, who had testified the previous week. Cudi also mentioned his belief that Combs was involved in a break-in at his home, though Combs’ lawyer refuted these claims due to lack of evidence.
As the trial wrapped up its third week before the Memorial Day weekend, Cudi was one of several witnesses to testify. Combs faces severe charges including racketeering, sex trafficking, and transportation for prostitution, which could result in a life sentence if convicted. Despite pleading not guilty, Combs is also facing civil lawsuits echoing some of the criminal case’s allegations.
Cudi shared details of incidents involving Combs, starting with a call from Ventura in 2011 informing him that Combs had discovered their relationship. This led to a confrontation at Cudi’s home, where he found signs of intrusion and reported the incident to the police. Additionally, Cudi recounted an incident in 2012 where his car was bombed, allegedly by Combs.
Witnesses like makeup artist Mylah Morales and hotel general manager Frederic Zemmour also provided testimonies related to the case. Morales described Ventura’s injuries, expressing fear for her safety, while Zemmour mentioned unusual behavior by Combs during his stays at the hotel.
The trial is set to resume next week, with Capricorn Clark expected to testify about the alleged break-in at Cudi’s home involving Combs.
